Wew, been 2 weeks since last I updated my blog! Been busy with assignment, but now it's all over and I have 2+weeks of holiday =) Even though the first few days of my holiday disturbed by stupid streamyX people who said that we not yet paid our bills so that they cut our internet! =_=" But now the problem already solved, and I'm enjoying my holiday! Nesia already left in 16, and Sel in 17, so I've been alone for 2 days at home and all I do are sleep, eat, play, sleep and eat again! Well at least I cooked my own food. I've successfully cook my first Fettuccine Carbonara and Aglio et Olio! XD Well, cooking is fun, but when I need to clean all the mess I've done, it's no fun anymore =.=

I'll going back to Indonesia tomorrow, so now I've been racing to finish all stuff that I need to do before I go tomorrow.

Quick Post

I've been so busy with assignments for this week, sorry for abandoning you, my blog D:

Nothing much to blog actually, but I just feel that I want to blog :P Actually I want to write a super long entry about a movie that I'm interested in, but that must wait for another time. For now, it's just some quick updates about what I've been doing.

1. Almost finished this term, left a bit of 3D modelling, some programming for DM3, and LOTS I mean TONS of programming and animating to do for ADM.

2. Finished the 4 series of Mystery Case Files, just bought the 5th series, Mystery Case Files: Return to Ravenhearst for $9.90(50% off!). I've enjoyed the series a lot, so I think buying this series is a must. Besides, it's on discount! \o/

3. Into some jazz lately. Blame Suba for all of those jazz influence. Currently into Jamie Cullum, Matt Dusk and Michael Buble

4. Re-watch X-Men, gain back memories on how awesome Nightcrawler is.

5. Think Ryan Reynold abs can be a substitute for washboard. It's TOO defined. Oh yeah, he'll act as Deadpool in X-Men Origin: Wolverine next year.

6. Still think Hugh Jackman is super sexy. Currently use his picture as desktop wallpaper.

7. Been having weird sleeping schedule

8. Been blogging to procrastinate.

5 Scenes in Comics That I Love

Since last term I've been reading some American comics by my friend's recommendation. Honestly at first I didn't expect much, because to me American comics are all just about superheroes fighting. Turns out it's not all about superheroes that save the day. Some comic with very interesting storylines like Fables (a MUST read!), clash between resposibility, belief and rights in Marvel's Civil War (Capt America died nooooooooo T_T), and many more interesting elements. So here I share some of my favorite scenes in some comics that I've read :D

1. Tony Stark's (Iron Man's) confession in Civil War - The Confession
This is the scenes that makes me forgive Iron Man. I think if they didn't include the scenes, I'll ended up hating Iron Man forever =.= Honestly, even though Iron Man in Movie version can melt my heart to cheese but Iron Man in comics makes me want to throw my high heels to his head. He's such a manipulative and stubborn jerk, but by reading the confessions I think it makes me understand him more. He got his reasons, and his reasons maybe will comes true one day so that he try to prevent it. But still, in the end he confessed that all that he did the whole time in civil war wasn't worth it with the death of Capt.

2. Bigby and Snow White's wedding in Fables #50
Actually not just the wedding scenes, but most of the scenes in this chapter but I think this scenes really seal this story. Finally happiness for Snow and Bigby (the wolf from Red Riding Hood!). Snow white who still believe that happiness can only be found in prince charming with his castles and ritches finally understand that that's not all :) Bigby finally come back to her and they marry and live happily in a land between the farm and city so they can keep their child.

3. Ambrose leading the dead to Hoemland in Fables #67
Finally Ambrose lead all those dead fables back to Homeland and establish his own kingdom with those 'ghost' fables. He also teach The Adversary some lessons about not to disturb his kingdom XD Who knows that Ambrose, former frog prince who become a mop guy in Fabletown, finally arise, lead the dead and create a kingdom? :)

4. Cable and Deadpool - Duct Tape
The funniest superhero comic I've ever read! LOLOLOLOL <--- this is how funny it is. A half insane Deadpool with mouth that can't stop talking with Cable who is more serious but still funny when it comes to replying what Deadpool said. This pair also has the best relationship (when they have different opinion about Civil War, they said they 'divorced') and partnership. Actually there's too many scenes that I love in Cable and Deadpool because of the funniness, but this scenes is the one I remember most, when Cable duct taped him(Cable: "at least 1 roll for his mouth alone") and toilet jokes that Deadpool try to use few times before.

5. Abe meet his ghost wife as Caul in B.P.R.D Yes, B.P.R.D is a spin-off from Hellboy. After Hellboy leaving B.P.R.D to know more about himself, Liz leave also to find peace and controlling her power. Abe and Roger been left alone with Abe plan to follow his friends step, leaving B.P.R.D until one day Johann Krauss joined B.P.R.D and Liz calling Abe for help. The scene that I love is when Abe finally meet his wife, but in a form of ghost who tried to keep Abe(Caul) with her forever. Abe, knowing he can't just keep living in this fake reality, force Edith to see the mirror, the reflection of what the reality is. Making Edith realize thet her place is not in living human world anymore, because she's dead. Leaving Abe with a wife he never know. Seriously, B.P.R.D and Hellboy are very good comics, not matter if you hate or love the movie, read the comic. It's amazing with many stories behind all the members. I really really fall in love with this series. Actually again, like other comics I meantion above, there's lots and lots of scenes that I love in this comics. Like Johann Krauss past, his experience on how he fall in love with a ghost that he supposed to help; Liz with his awakening of power; Abe on how he turn out to be him now; Hellboy's history, etc etc. Give it a try!

Yeah, I only put 5 here, even though there's more that I love. Honestly writing this post is harder that I thought since I'm still new in reading American comics. Those comics are awesome and I wish I can spread the awesomeness here XD Quick! Read the comics I recommend now!

Career According to Birth?

Actually it's been weeks ago since I read this article, but only now I can remember from where I got it LOL. According to research, birth position (oldest, middle, youngest, etc) will be able to affect your personalities, behavior, and learning which ended up affecting your earning power too. So here's the research:

Personality: Firstborns are ambitious, assertive, dominant and disciplined compared to their younger siblings. They're determined to succeed yet fearful of losing position and rank, and are defensive about errors and mistakes, Dattner says.

Compensation: A recent survey by found that workers who were the firstborn child in their families were more likely to earn $100,000 or more annually compared to their siblings.

Professions: The oldest tend to pursue vocations that require higher education, like medicine, engineering or law. Firstborns from the survey reported working in jobs in government, engineering, pharmacy and science. Ohio State University researchers found firstborn children were more likely to pursue "intellectual" jobs.

Job level: Workers who are firstborn are more likely to report holding a vice president or senior management position, according to the survey.

Famous firstborns: Oprah, Hillary Clinton, Winston Churchill, Sylvester Stallone and Bill Clinton.

Personality: Middle children are good at negotiation, peacemaking and compromise, Dattner says. They are easy-going, diplomatic and are usually closer to friends than family.

Compensation: More middle children identified themselves as earning $35,000 or less per year than firstborn or youngest children, according to the survey.

Professions: Middles tend to have excellent negotiating and people skills -- anything that employs these skills is a great fit. Middle children from the survey said they work in nursing, law enforcement, firefighting and machine operation.

Job level: Middle children were more likely to identify with professional and technical staff level positions in the survey. They also reported being the most satisfied with their current positions.

Famous middles: David Letterman, Richard Nixon, Madonna and Princess Diana.

Personality: Youngest children love the limelight and are used to sitting in it. They are charming, creative, have a good sense of humor and manipulate others when they want to get their way.

Compensation: Last borns were the least likely to report earning six figures, according to the survey.

Professions: Youngest children often gravitate toward artistic and outdoor jobs, according to the OSU survey. They're also successful in journalism, advertising, sales and athletics. Those who responded to the survey reported working in art, design, sales and information technology.

Job level: The majority of last borns in the survey held administrative and clerical level positions. They also reported being the least satisfied in their current jobs.

Famous younglings: Jim Carrey, Billy Crystal, Steve Martin, Cameron Diaz and Rosie O'Donnell.

Only children:

Personality: Only children are similar to firstborns in that they are motivated to conform to parental expectations, Dattner says. They are also achievement-oriented, successful in school and have problems delegating work. Research shows they are more confident, articulate and imaginative than other children. They also hate criticism and tend to be perfectionists.

Famous only children: Jack Welch, Tiger Woods, Alan Greenspan and Maria Sharapova.

Personality: Because of their equal status in terms of age and genes, twins are usually treated the same and turn out similarly. They tend to have different personalities and interests, but are closer to each other than other siblings and to have less conflict with each other than other siblings, Dattner says.

Famous twins: Abigail and Esther Friedman ("Dear Abby" and "Ann Landers"); Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen; Joel and Benji Madden; and Jenna and Barbara Bush.

So, is it true for you? To me it's really true, since I'm the youngest and I'm currently studying design. But it's not so true about my oldest and middle sister thought. I think their role is reversed :P

Plastic Surgery Addict

Well, I think anyone who consider doing plastic surgery need to read this!

A 48 year old Korean woman who first got his plastic surgery at 28 got addicted and can't stop doing plastic surgery until her own family can't recognize her. They take her for mental treatment, but it didn't last long because of the expensive cost. She soon return to plastic surgery after that. At first no any plastic surgery doctor want to give her more plastic surgery, but then an (insane!) doctor agree to inject silicon to her face, even give her a syringe and silicone for her to inject herself! After she run out of silicon stock, she started using COOKING OIL. As we all predicted, her face become so horrible.

The amazing thing is, because of her mental disorder, even though her face already so disfigured, she still think that she get prettier and prettier everytime she did that! She only realize how her face is after the kids in her apartment complex start calling her names.

Top 5 Online Shopping Sites that I like

I love shopping. I really really do, but sometimes when the money is just not there, all I can do is just do some window shopping to cheer myself. There's few websites that I like for window shopping. Some websites with reasonable price, come with sky-high price that always makes me choked. But as a window shopper, it's always a delight for me to see nice stuff :P

From window shopping experience on the net, these are few stores that makes me scream "ARRRGGG!!! It's just too pretty!!!!! I WANT!!!!" everytime I go to their shop. So let the list begin~ :D

1. Shop Ruche
Shop Ruche is one of my favorite online shop. Nice shopping website with reasonable price, nice design, and nice range of items! I especially like the accessories, which mostly are vintage-inspired :) Their shoes and dresses also very nice, I like the feminine and simple design. Their new range of scarfs also worth checking! If you're confuse about what style you want to shop, they have look book for you to refer to.
Some items that I love:

2. Shy Siren
Etsy is an online store where people could sell either their handmade or special hand picked stuff. There's a lot of stuff you can find there, from clothing, cremics, books, even plants! This website is a bit like eBay, but with better items and design. Most of the stuff are affordable, high quality with nice design.

Shy Siren is one of the stores in Etsy. A handmade earring shop, with many many beautiful design. Mostly their items are vintage inspired with intricate designs.
3. BirdzNbeez
You'll find very very interesting jewelry design here. The handmade jewelry are made using antique silver plate and aged brass, embellished with vintage glass beads, swarovski crystals, semi precious stones and pearls.
4. Kreativlink
Kreativlink is an online store that sells handmade journals. All the journals there are unique, one of the unique journal is journal with cover made of fabric and hand drawn illustrations.

5. Oh and Ah
Last but not least, Oh and Ah! It's not an online shopping website, but they have their online cataloque in their website. Everytime I see new items there I feel like stealing them! D: From the nicely designed badges, pretty tops and cute accesories are there! With reasonable price and nice design, what's not to love? So far I never be able to go to any of their open houses thought D: Click on the poster below or go to their website to see their next open house! :)
So that's all! Somehow I really have fun writing this entry xD Hope you guys like it :)

Literal Video Song

I've just see some videos in YouTube about singing the song literally according to the video. Really really funny! xD There's so many version, but I think so far this is my favorite:

MM068-1's BBQ Party in Port Dickson!

Well, as I mentioned many many times already, our class was having a trip to PD for 2 day and 1 night. Yes, in midterm, when our assignment ready to kill us. Quoted from my YM conversation:

lunatic_rave: where is PD? sounds far
tanyus.indrayani: yea, about 1-2 hours from Sunway. We go there for BBQ. All the way to PD for BBQ. In midterm, with loads of assignment piling in front of us.
lunatic_rave: you guys are nuts
Our trip started in the morning, me and Sel wake up at 6.30am, with Chen threatening us that she'll to do a marathon of calling if we didn't want to wake up. We go to KTM behind Metari at 8am, arrive at KL Sentral around 8.30 and then having breakfast there. I tried to find picture where chen using her sleeping bag as a bazooka (also claiming a trash bin in KL Sentral as her base), but no such luck. Too bad, it's our main entertaiment when we're waiting for Chris to pick us up.

Finally around 9am Chris come and we started our journey to PD!! Whee~ At first we're quite 'normal', but then as time goes by seems like our inner camwhore self started to appear! Behold the super camwhore pict! (OKla, to save your eyes from blindness I'll just put few here)

At first it's only started with Dee & Sel camwhoring
But me and Chen soon joining them!

While Chris seriously driving and Wahyu... umm seriously daydreaming? ^^;

And finally, finally, finally!!! We arrive at our chaley~

This first thing that we do after putting our stuff inside: Playing a fighting game!!! :D
Team Malaysia vs Team Indonesia!!
Result: 6 vs 2. Team Indonesia lose~ T.T

After the tiring screaming session, Wahyu and Chris started doing their 'research' about violence in game by playing God of War while Dee, Chen and Sel doing some 'photoshoot'

Biggest babies ever
And I don't want to feel left out so...
me as old wife, chen as suami gatal, dee as concubine HAHAHA!
A photo I won't proudly show to my children in future.
After that I happily sleep until 5pm hohoho~ While I sleep Cen, Dee and Sel preparing the kebab on satay sticks. So here's our foods! :D

chicken kebab with peppers, cherry tomatoes, and cheese! marinated by Dee

rolled lamb meat with asparagus and mushroom. marinated by Chen
and corns!! cut by me, with all strength that I have, since the corns are as hard as wood. Actually we also got chicken wings, but somehow nobody take the photo lol. Btw, all the food tasted amazing. Even the wood-hard corn tasted surprisingly sweet. Around 5pm+ we fo to the beach! Not the cleanest beach ever, but clean enough for us to play :)

Chen's Daniel "James Bond" Craig pose
Chris relaxing, our photographer fot the jump session :D
The only one non-blur picture of Wahyu on the beach!
The attempt to drown me =_=" from our drown each other jokesJump seesion!

Then we go back to chaley to take our BBQ stuff, and the BBQ begin!!
Nice sunset~
Guess who?
The BBQ!
Our lemon girlPosing in front of our BBQ~
Surprise Bday cake for Chris!Dee & Bday girl
Attempt to squeeze 6 of us in 1 frame
The pretty cat that we meet in PD
Wahh actually there's many more to tell, but this entry already too long! Maybe I'll update the second part later :P

New Layout!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! Finally I change the layout! Blogger's system is really confusing =_=" Luckily I got basic in html, if not I think I'll just give up =.=

For now I'll just use font style from default. Tell me if it's hard to read ya :) And btw, I like the cat~ hohoho.

For now there's nothing interesting to write here. Must wait for photos from Dee's and Wahyu's camera first before I can post anything about our bbq :) For now, it's my favorite picture while we're in PD.

Saturday, October 25, 2008

Well, my bad habit when I'm doing my assignment is every now and then I 'rest' from work and browse for any interesting thing in web. Since I like to read blog, I often click here and there until I got interesting blog to read. And somehow, I found this entry about the meaning of your mole! Funny how mole can tell about your fortune and such. I don't really believe in fortune telling, but I always like to try it anyway. How about you? What's the meaning of your mole? LOL.

I can't sleep. Again. My body clock really messed up la these few days =_=
Somehow my mind keep telling me to blog, so here I am, blogging at 5.25 am.

We're talking about autism in our class this Monday, and somehow it leads to OCD. I think all my classmates already know my OCD-ness. I used to have terrible OCD, but now I can control most of my OCDness. But there's still some of my OCD that I can't and somehow I don't want to stop. It makes me frustated sometimes, but I just can't help it. My mind will keep bugging me about that.

So here's few things that I can't stop entirely:
- Time time time! I'm so strict about time that I set for myself. I'm not upset anymore if I don't meet my own standards, but I still feel the satisfacton everytime I can finish something on time that I set. Still can't help to set time for almost everything that I do.

- Tiles. My worst nemesis ever. Actually not only tiles, but mostly tiles. I never want to step on the spaces between tiles, you know, the lines. If I'm in my house in Jambi it's even worse, since I was kid I've already set which tiles I must step for each room, even which foot I must step on with. Sometime when I was idle I'll unconsciously step on the tiles with some patterns that I set.

- Anything related to food. My spoon and fork must be similar in weight, better if they actually got matching pairs. Can't break up the rice, keep the shape like the original. Food must newly cooked, or at least make me think so. That's why I hate mix rice, they already cook it like many hours ago before I choose the food. But lately I can eat mix rice in chola spice. Definitely improvement. If my food is something rectangular, I'll eat each sides before I eat the center part. Same thing with burger. Oh yea my instant noodles spices, soy sauce, oil, anything must be mixed together until they mix nicely; and the noodles must be shattered to small pieces.

- Computer programs and files. I always make sure when I leave my computer, even though I just go to toilet, I close all programs or at least minimize all programs. I hate seeing lots of tabs in my computer, keep everything as minimum as possible. Files placed in folders, I can't stand seeing stray files in desktop. I ever offer selvia to clean and organize her desktop lol. My bookmarks must have folders too. Can't stand stray bookmarks outside folders.

I think that all I can think for now, quite little compared to before. Oh yea, I also like cornering and centering stuff, but I think that's quite normal though...

Agghhhhh I currently addicted to 30 Rock! These few days I've been marathon-ing the comedy series. I even watch the series while doing my assignment! @_@ Better quick finish it before I can't stop myself =_=
Btw, after watch this show I realize that Tine Fey looks like Angela Aki. But it might be the glasses and hair... Whatever! I love this series and will recommend this series! It's very funny, except for the first episode, dunno why I just can't get the jokes there. But this series worth a try, after I watch the second episode, I fall in love with this show! :)

Song of the day:

I love love love Hugh Jackman and adore Nicole Kidman, so I won't miss this movie! =) Some more the director is the director who make Moulin Rogue! I'm so coming to the cinema~ 8D

What's in a name?

Well, quoting from William Shakespeare

What's in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet.
Having unusual name as Tanyus Indrayani giving me quite a... well not exactly trouble, but more to a misunderstanding and such. Dunno why many Indonesians can't pronounce my name normally. There's so many 'variations' in my name, such as "tanjus"', "tenyus", "tangus", "tenjuus", and many more. My name also always mistaken as a boy's name since kinder garden until high school! So every time I see my name like this:
Tanyus Indrayani (L) <--- laki-laki/male
And the name "Indrayani" is not helping too. Indra usually use for boy's name, and Yani also not exactly girl's name. While my sister still got "Sumyati" which obviously a girls name. Oh yea, when I want to apply to bank in Malaysia, the CS ask me if I have any Indian blood because I got "Indra" in my name LOL. I really don't know from where my parents got the creative name, but I suspect it comes from my errrr surname "Tan" and my father's name, Yus Suryamin. For the Indrayani I think at that time my parents really want boy la hahaha. Other than that, I really don't know any reason behind my weird name.

But I'm proud of my name anyway. How many people in the world got the name Tanyus? :P

The Ugly Duckling

Since I was so young, many people asked me the same question "why you do not look like your mom/sis/dad?". Yea, my mom is very beautiful, my dad is handsome, and my sis are very pretty. I got the point.

I used to be so upset every time anybody asked me that question. I was very insecure and self conscious on how I look like. Usually I just keep quiet every time that question being asked, just run and cry in my room. A guy even said to me "you ignoring me now, but you know that's true!". My secondary teachers also never believe when they know that I'm my sister's sis. They thought it's just a coincidence that we share the same name (well, how many people in the world got the name Tanyus???). So now, I guess you get the point on how not alike we are.

Tired of being compared to my sis, I try my best to even become not alike to them. Just to make people happy that there's someone so not alike in family. Dunno why they're so fascinated and happily comparing us. On how ugly I am, how dark my skin is (compared to my sis!), how tomboy I was, and the list goes on.

I guess studying here giving me good antidote. With nobody that can compare us, I feel free to be myself. I think a lot, feel the difference, and just enjoy it. Now I could just smile and say whatever to anybody who ask that question. Not that I care. Now I realize that I should not feed the troll. I make fool of myself by reacting to those trolls. Why should I care anyway? People who asked that kind of question usually not important for me. They're not my sisters, not my father, not my mother. The most important thing is people who I love do not care on how I look like. They'll still love me anyway. So trolls, feed yourself, cause I won't feed you anymore.

If Only...

It's not even November yet, but I've been planning to buy my air tickets to Indonesia. I dunno if I should go back this December or not. If I go back this December, maybe I can't go back in Chinese new year. Actually air tickets for KL-Jakarta is not so expensive, but for Jakarta-Jambi is insanely expensive. Darn, if only air tickets is not that expensive!

If I don't go back this December, I will miss my cousin's wedding and our family's new year celebration. Usually all my cousins will come to our house and we'll have bbq together. Ahhhhhh :( But if I don't go back in Chinese new year it'll even sadder. Like last year, no sa cap meh dinner with my family, no visiting relatives, no ang bao until I go back! :P

Gah, maybe I'll just stay in KL this December.

There's Love :)

Journey to Pavillion

Well, yesterday me, Sel, Nesia and Audrie go to Pavillion for shopping because Audrie said she never go there before. So instead of the usual Sunway Pyramid, we go to Pavillion. Well, the stuffs there are expensive so there's so many stuffs that's impossible for us to buy, but somehow I still manage to buy 3 stuff that I've already planned the night before: bag, skirt, cardigan with reasonable price :D

First we go to Trangs (if I'm not mistaken) and I they really got many nice stuffs, the price is still reasonable (unlike other big brand with sky-high price =_=) and they got really nice interior. I especially like the ceiling lamp that they use for base floor, it's really beautiful with morroccan touch. There we see some really nice headpiece, but since I'm not an accessory person I don't buy any of them. I try not buy items unless I'm sure to where/when/for what I'm gonna use them. I hate keeping stuffs =_=

After we finished our shopping, we go downstairs for dinner, but to our horror we pick the wrong time. It's buka puasa time! So the foodcourt crowded by almost entire population in KL. We walk here and there, back and forth for one and half hours to no avail. Finally for lack of choice we ended up in Nando's (where we must wait for 30+minutes before we got any seat!) for dinner. The foods in Nando's are nice, I like my burger so much and the peri chips is awesome! ;) The only bad things is the price is killing my purse T__T

And oh yea, there's anothing thing that killing me. My heels! As much as I love them, my new purple heels really torture my feet to the max yesterday. Actually it's my calcullation that fails me. I thought our shopping will only last for about 3 hours, while it ended up for 6 hours! Thanks to the full foodcourt =_= I think I won't wear my heels for the next 3 days. Resting my feet, I must.

Btw, since I love my bag so much, I think I must post it here xD

To Mask or To Unmask

Recently I heard a story from friend about the other friend who said that she's wearing mask everyday. Well, ofcourse you know what mask means here, she's pretending. Well, actually I'm not so sure about what she means by pretending here, but it makes me think about some other things.

I can't really blame people for pretending. If that's your choice, why other people need to bother? Do they prefer the 'real' you? Okay, for example there's A, a normal Jane with normal social life, surrounded by many friends. Her friends like her because she's such nice girl. What they don't know that actually she's a super cynical girl whose frank in giving opinion, only she always restrain that act. So she always try to be nice and proper, never say hurtful stuff to other people even though her cynical mind make some remarks about it. What's wrong with that? Do you prefer the cynical girl A, or the nice girl A?

Admit it, most people just want to hear what they want to hear. When you know your friend have figth with his/her girl/boyfriend, and actually you think that their girl/boyfriend is such an ass and not worth his/her affection, would you tell him/her straghtly to just forget about him/her blah blah that you must break up blah blah she/he's such an ass blah blah? Even though that's the truth, I bet 8 out of 10 people won't do that. Why? Because people just want to hear what they want to hear, they want comfort, not the truth. And if you tell the truth, everything will become awkward later. If they really break up, they will eventually blame you because you're the one who trigger it. If they do not break up, they'll think you're a bad influence for their relationship for 'trying' to separate them. Either way you'll still be the bad guy.

How can you blame people for pretending to be nice? Is it better to just show your dislikeness? Some people can control their dislikeness towards other people, so why blame them for controlling it? Not everyone blessed with nice personality like you. Some people just grew up in a f**ked-up environment that shaped their personality into a f**ked-up one too. Not everyone think that world is all about raibows, butterflies and many other pretty things.

So for some people, mask is their essential tools to survive. While other people who never need to wear mask call masked people as a sad hypocrite whose not worthy for many things that they can't enjoy without wearing mask. Is it wrong to pretend to be a nice person? Is it wrong to want to be liked?

Please don't say something like "well, sometime it's needed, but if ME, I'll only so that when it's needed"
Yes, yes, you're right and I can't say that's wrong for all people also do that.
But what I want to say here is "Can you blame people for wearing mask?"
So people... to mask, or to unmask?

Suddenly I remembered something that I've ever discussed with Chen. Will distance brings us closer? At first I said yes, because I feel that after me and my sis separated we become closer. Before, we fought everyday, she can't stand me I can't stand her, she can't understand me I can't understand her, She want this I want that too. After she live in Jakarta, suddenly everything changed. Maybe we just matured, or maybe we just don't have anything left to fight? I dunno. Maybe it's just that now we're apart we can see something that we can't see before? Or if only I didn't yell at her at that time everything will just be okay? Maybe she's not that annoying at all? That actually the presence of another is important to us? Maybe. I don't really know what, but I know that me and my sis know how to make our sisterly relationship work now ;)

But how about friendship? I would say no. Maybe it's just for me, but at least that how it happened to me. Now I really have no any way to contact my best friend. I don't how she's doing, she never reply my sms or pick up my call, she never reply my comment in friendster, she never online in her MSN anymore, and the only time I've ever met her after I come here was one and half years ago, in beginning of January 2007. Her family moved to another city, so even though her uni got holiday, she won't come back to our hometown. I don't know what went wrong, maybe it's my fault, maybe I did a wrong thing, but really I don't know why. What's wrong?

Maybe there's something wrong, or actually there's nothing wrong. For now, I don't know what actually happened. But maybe one day I'll know. Maybe.

I think my weight fluctuates worse than inflation. When I get back here 2 weeks ago I was 47.5kg; about 4 days ago I was 46kg; and now I'm 48.5kg. Time to buy new scale?

Btw, this week I spend my time playing lots and lots of point and click game. So far, all I can say that I'm quite frustrated playing some games in this genre and I hate black and white interface.

And actually I don't know what I want to say in this post, but I feel like posting something in my semi comatose blog. So bear with my super random post from now on.

First Week in TOA

Dang... I can't believe that I'm in my 3rd year now!!!!!!! *faint* Okay, so dunno why I'm so lazy to start my new term, maybe because the day before I got sooo tired because I need to clean our entire place in Mentari. Me and sel throw water to the floor and play with water! xD It's fun, but super tiring man. And our neighbor really should stop throw their rubbish in front of our house, because I really think about installing a security camera to catch the culprit!

Okay okay back to topic. So the first day is Motion Graphic with Joanne Kok. It's nice to be teach by her again, and motion graphic seems fun. Even though I don't really understand about how I need to use Adobe EA yet. Btw, our first assignment is... typography in motion! Dang! again... Honestly I'm not so good in typography, so this assignment worries me.

The second day is my worst nightmare, Le Design Method 3! I'm quite traumatize by Design Method 2 so I'm worried about DM3. Hope I can do it better than 2 previous term D: Sweii become our lecturer again, with Sook Chiung as tutor.

Third day is 3D, where we meet Kenny again :D 3D is quite fun, so far mo troubles with it. Oh yea, our class combined with our seniors!!! Dang dang doeng now. I've already get used to our small class, so when 3D glass got lots of people (more than 10 is lots to me :P) I feel so weird about it. After 3D we got branding with Vincent. All I can say that he still the same as last term LOL.

Then finally the fourth day, meet again with Digital Media, only now we're in advanced class already :) Hazmer still teach us... for 3 weeks only. Actually I'm quite dissapointed that he won't teach us this term :( Why can't you wait for another term, Hazmer???? Class is fun, so far. Not yet touch the programming, that's why I can say that :P

Btw, yesterday we buka puasa with Wahyu and Hazmer. As usual, we eat in Sushi Zanmai. I really think we must find a new dinner location... We talked about many many nonsense there, from Hazmer's orang asli picture to greetings ala Malaysia (guess how? stick your tongue, raise both your thumb and wide open your eyes LOL). After that we go to starbucks to play a music game. Very fun and interesting game, and after that I'm thinking about buying a DS lite too. Hazmer can apply as sales promoter of nintendo now.

Kittens, Onlympic and Character Death

Woots! My cat give birth to 3 kittens today! She keep meow-ing since 5.30, but finished the labor around 10.30~ Congrats, mommy cat!

Btw, also want to congrats Indonesia for getting gold medal in onlympic! :D Go go Indonesia! Too bad we didn't win any medal from single player in badminton though. But it' already very good, ok! :D We only send 24 players and so far we already gotn 5 medal so far :)

Actually our goverment promised the athlete that if they got any medal they will got a big amount of cash. No wonder all athlete become so motivated :P For gold medalist they will get Rp1Billion (around US$100,000++), silver will get Rp300million (around US$34,000), bronze will get around Rp125million (around US$15,000). According to what I read in newspaper Singapore is the country who will pay the most if their athlete got gold medal, they'll give 1million euro! @_@ That's because the last medal that they ever got was in 1996~

Btw, just finished reading Cable and Deadpool comic. And I'm sooooooooooo angry!!!!! Why Cable must die??????? At first I thought they'll resurrect him again (just like before) but then actually they really kill him!!! T____T Why the characters that I like almost always die?????? What the heck man!!!! T_________T

I also re-read The Silmarillion (The history of middle earth before the war of the ring in Lord of the Rings), and again, the characters that I like dieeeeeeee~~~~~~ T___T
1. Ereinion Gil-Galad
Why the high king of Noldor die????? T____T He's the last high king! T__T
2. Echtelion
After killing Gothmog and another 2 balrogs you kill him????
3. Glorfindel
Killed after he kill a balrog too, stupidly getting killed because the Blarog snatched his hair and bring him down to valley with the balrog. Well, at least he'll ressurected again later.
4. Maedhros and Maglor
2 of 7 sons of Feanor, if only the oath didn't consume them... :( And the last scene when Maglor throw the silmaril to the sea and sing his lament is really really sad T____T

Well, at least Elrond survived all of the chaos though. But he really really got such a tragic fate T__T

Hello Again

Well, the second entry from Jambi! ;) This holiday makes me realize how good it is to sleep and wake up normally. I always feel refreshed everytime I wake up, not tired and moody. Oh, the joy of normal life!

And I've just finished reading comic books that I got before, and it makes me fall in love with...
Johann Kraus! xD Yea, it's Johann Kraus from Hellboy (from B.P.R.D actually)! In comic Johann do not looked as good as in movie LOL, but he really really is a gentleman in comic while in movie he's such an ass. I think I prefer the characteruzation in comic rather than in movie. While in movie Abe is gentle and quiet, in comic he's sarcastic and cool. Fits him better I think. And all characters in comic got more depth and unfortunately, sad past :(

I really confuse about I wanted to say for the whole week. So difficult la to summarize all events for whole week in one entry. But my family now really busy in preparing for tomorrow's festival. Every year in my hometown, every 18th August there will be festivals to remember about our independence day. Will take photos of it, if I have the time. We'll be very very busy tomorrow. My mom will cook nasi lemak! And my mom's nasi lemak is the best! ;)

Will update again later! Eat now!

Hello from Jambi!

Well, in my hometown now wth the legendary super slow DIAL-UP internet connection. Opening my e-mail in 10 minutes. Sweet. How I miss my hometown.

So far I eat lots of food, and what a wonderful spicy food I've ate <3 Satay, soto, soup, rendang, empek-empek, bakso, tekwan, etc etc~ Actually I want to post some pictures of the said food, but my super slow connection just not allowing me to do that. To open blogger I need more than 10 minutes, imagine for how long I need to wait to upload photos?

I still can online in my MSN and YM from my cellphone though, even though the connection is equally sucks, keep disconnecting me every now and then. I also can't use internet too much because it's so damn expensive here. So I will not updating my blog as often as before.

Btw, got a very binteresting comic strip about bloodtype here. What is your bloodtype? :)
Since my papa is A and my mama is O, so I must have fenotipe AO (A). That explains my mixed behavior between bloddtype A and O. Quite interestng :)
Well, let me guess my classmates' bloodtype!
Chen --> either A or O, but more to A I think
Chris --> B or AB
Dee --> B
Selvia --> O
Wahyu --> must be a pure A!
Correct me if I'm wrong~
wookay, my laptop almost die now, which means I must off now! Will update again next week!

Waiting and Waiting

In airport now, seems like I come too early, still got one and half hour before the flight :P Well that's because I estimated the way from mentari to airport would be around 2 hours, but somehow the taxi driver drive like mad that makes me reach here in just 1 hour and 15 minutes! Good thing here got internet so I can spend my time online-ing. Bad think I got lots of stuff to carry, from laptop, camera, to 2 alcohol drink that my papa asked me to buy. Would be so troublesome if I need to go to toilet later =.= And I also my laptop battery will last until next hour >_< Well, just read chen's blog and I really love the picture there because all of us are smiling :) Now it becomes my desktop wallie~

Btw, in love with OneRepublic song, All We Are :)

All We Are - OneRepublic

I tried to paint you a picture, the colors were all wrong
Black and white didn't fit you, and all along
You were shaded with patience, and strokes of everything
That I need just to make it, and I believe that...

The time could tear you apart, but it won't break
Anything that you are, you are

We won't say our goodbye's, you know it's better that way,
We won't break, we won't die, it's just a moment of change
All we are, all we are is everything that's right
All we need, all we need, a lover's alibi

I walked a minute in your shoes, they never would have fit
I figured there's nothin to lose, I need to get
Some perspective on these words, before I write them down
You're an island and my ship is running ground.

The time could tear you apart,
but it won't change
Anything that we are, we are

We won't say our goodbye's, you know it's better that way,
We won't break, we won't die, it's just a moment of change
All we are, all we are is everything that's right
All we need, all we need, a lover's alibi

And every single day that I can breathe,
You change my philosophy,
I'm never gonna let you pass me by

So don't say your goodbye's, you know it's better that way,
We won't break, we won't die, it's just a moment of change
All we are, all we are is everything that's right
All we need, all we need, a lover's alibi (x2)

French Fries with Bolognaise Sauce

Well, I make french fries with bolognaise sauce for dinner, even though it may sounds weird but trust me it tasted amazing! :) Sadly there's no photos of the food, because I was too hungry to take photos :P

Tomorrow I'll go back to Indonesia! Somehow AirAsia just can't make their minds and keep changing the schedule. At first the official schedule is 21.30, but then yesterday they informed me that it rescheduled to 23.30! =.= Not only until there, just now I just know that they rescheduled again to 19.30 =_= I think I'll be so freaking annoyed if they suddenly change the schedule again =_=# Everytime they change the schedule I must re-plan again what I'm gonna do for tomorrow, re-timing everything again. D'uh.

Btw, there was some miscommunication between me and my sister that caused me staying in Jakarta until Sunday. Sunday!!! That means 3 freaking day alone~~!!!!! From Wednesday to Friday I'll be alone at my sister's place because they need to go to work :( Even my friends who study in Jakarta all are in Jambi now for holiday! :( 3.freaking.days! But I know that actually there's so many things that I need to do this holiday =.=
1. Do some inprovement for my Mobil's website
2. Do the calendar challange
3. Do 1 blog design for desig[NERD]s
4. Do 1 design for my own personal space :)
5. Reading tons of Marvel, DC & Dark Horse comics that I got
6. Reading books that Chris borrowed me
Dunno if I can finish all!

Btw, finally re-watch Hellboy II today. And you know? I wasn't dissapointed at all :) There actually quite many scene that I missed when I watch it for the first time. And I think Prince Nuada really really win my love xD Did anyone noticed that he has such a nice voice? I think I really weak with guys with nice voice <333 First Hugo Weaving, and now Luke Goss <3333

After we watch Hellboy, the movie marathon continued, we watched Sex & the City because Nesia really want to watch it :) I think the fashion in the movie is just not for me, the only thing that caught my attention was the shoes that Carrie wore with a big flowered white dress. About the story, it's just so-so for me. Nothing too special, but I think Samantha is really funny LOL. And somehow Charlotte reminds me with... Selvia! Hahahahaha! *ROFL* And oh yea, this movie got lots of cuts here and there, so better watch it on DVD.

Random Post

Dee's & Wahyu's early bday celebration in Italliannies last week! :D
Wahyu's bday actually in August 4 and Dee in August 19, but because most of us will not be in Malaysia at the time, we decided to celebrated it early :)

Btw, me and Nesia planned to watch Hellboy II again! Why? Because when I watch it for the first time, we came late and missed some scene :( Like when Prince Nuada come to auction and kill everyone there with releasing tooth fairy, when Hellboy's 'father' tell him the story about the Golden Army, etc etc. So we're thinking about watching the movie again :)

Movie Recap

Song of the day, the week, and possibly the month:

Cant smile without you - Barry Manilow

I blame Hellboy and Abe for this D:
And I really can't help but to smile everytime I hear this song :)

Btw, lately I watch lots of movies, and all are satisfying for me :)
1. Hellboy II: The Golden Army
Even though the storyline is quite weak, I still really love this movie. Why? I always love fantasy movie, and I think Guillermo Del Toro really win my love when he create such a beautiful fairytale-like world.

I really really love the scene where Prince Nuada come to elven kingdom. Love the setting, love the costume, love the colors, love the creatures, love the fighting scene, and also really love the prince LOL. Somehow long silver-haired man always pwn me. Oh yea, somehow I also really like the princess :)

Another thing that really win my love is the creatures. Visit the official website, there you can see some design and description of the fantasy creatures. Very interesting design and description of the creature :)

So the conclusion is, if the thing that you want to see in a movie is a beautiful visual, watch Hellboy II, but if you want to find strong story, maybe this movie will not so suitable for you :)

Now the problem is, I can't wait for Guillermo to finish directing movie The Hobbit, prequel of The Lord of The Rings! :)

2. The Dark Knight
The long awaited movie! Since the first time I see the trailer, I really can't wait to watch this movie. Great movie, but I think the one that steal the show is not Batman, but Joker.

Agree with what Chen said in her blog, Heath Ledger is the perfect Joker. Psychotic, fearless and frightening, The Dark Knight really become his show. Really love the way he talk, the crazy tone tone that he use really the win.

Too bad that Batman himself do not really give me many impact, the only scene where I like about him is only at the end, where he sacrifice himself so Gotham will not lose their hero.

Also really hate when Harvey Dent become Two Face :( I really like him since the beginning, so this changes really disappoint me. Actually it won't be so disappointing if only he didn't die that soon. If only his changes will saved until the next movie where he'll become the next super villain, I don't think I'll be as disappoint as this though.

But overall, nice movie, Heath Ledger really won't disappoint you :)

3. Red Cliff
An unexpectedly great movie for me. At first I'm not so excited about this movie, but since they got lots of good review, I think I'll just give it a go. And what? I watch this movie 2 times already :P

A very nice movie, I think it possibly the best Asian movie I watch so far.

Very interesting story, afterall it based in The Romance of Three Kingdom :)
I really love the story, and the visual also pleasing to eyes.
Somehow I just don't know what to say about this movie, all I can say is: WATCH IT!
You won't be disappointed :)

Now I gonna continue play games :) Got a very interesting game, will review it later I think :)

Life in TOA

We're having a breakfast (actually lunch) date this morning with our lecturer, Yenny. It's really nice to chat with her again, she's such a nice and fun lecturer! :) Hope we will having more dates with her. After the date we go to gallery and messing around with the guestbook there :P

Damages caused by desig[NERD]s + Chong
We really really random, drawing characters and write nonsense stuff. It's really fun how we ended up fighting for space hahaha! And we also convinced our lecturer, Chong to draw his character there, the little devil (not the fallen devil, that's chen's). Because of the activity, our class postponed until 1.30 pm hahaha! We're really having fun there! =) Thanks to Eugene and Chong for postponed our class xD

And have you ever wonder what we're doing when lecturers not in class? The answer:

Turning Video lab into a Dance Floor

The first dancing class started when Chris played a dance tune that makes everyone started dancing. Happened after web design class~

This one happened last week when we're so stress in finishing our video assignment. I'm not so sure waht started this, but I think at first Chen play a dance song, then Selvia asking everyone to dance, the the final blow is when Chris played a dancy song. And suddenly Video Lab become a dance floor!

Don't you just love my class? :)

And to all my classmates, don't kill me please xD

Busy Busy Busy

Hwaaaaa!!! This week is such a busy week! Editing video, finishing web design, buying domain, finding good web hosting, etc etc.

For video I'm a bit worried because we're not even 50% finish yet. Luckily for my interview video turns out okay, not as disappointing as what I thought it would be.

Web design I finished the 8 pages already, uploaded it here. Please give me some comments about it! :) Just now I received reply from my lecturer, Joanne Ng, I'm so relieved that she liked my design. I still need to improve more on the content are though, hope will have not much problem with it later.

And I already buy a domain for my class,! Now just need to find a good web hosting service. At first I want to just use free web hosting service, but from our discussion seems like we need more space, so I research and I found this website about top 10 web hosting. Not yet buy the web hosting, but so far I think I found some candidates already :) Anybody want to suggest other good web hosting?

I think I really like organizing something la, it's so fun to research and organize stuff. Maybe that sounds weird, but I really like it! :P Maybe that's also because I'm can be so kaypoh/kepo hahaha! I think if in future I do not become a designer, I'll probably be an event organizer. I really like taking care of stuff and see it turns out nicely because of my planning :) And for now I can't wait to see our future desig[NERD]s website!

Foul Mood

Lately I keep having mood swing. Today must be one of the worst. I really really easily irritated by anything. Good thing I still can try not to be angry IN PUBLIC. Even though honestly inside my heart boils. I think today is the day where I swear the most. Yea, even though I didn't speak the words out, it's like a repeating words in my mind. I really hated when somebody try to make me like a stupid dumb bimbo girl that can't do anything by myself. Fine, OBVIOUSLY I can't drive in KL, I don't have any driving experience in big cities, I admit that my driving skills sucks much. But it doesn't mean that I'm a stupid girl just because of that, ok? I really don't know why you really insist that I can't do anything by myself. Do you really need to prove that you're far smarter than me? Do you really need to prove that I'm just a spoiled girl? That I always need anybody to help me to do anything?

I only mad about that one, other things I admit that's just because of my foul mood. I'm sorry to any of my classmates if my foul mood disturb you. I just easily feel irritated today. Somehow I turned into an emo kid who think that everyone just try to pick me. But at least I realized it and don't make it as a big deal. I don't scream and cry mindlessly saying that other people stupid and they're not better than me. I know and I understand that all my anger due to my foul mood. For the rest of the day, I try to not spoke so much. I know with my condition any of my word and the respondent's word can make me in even worse mood. But honestly I think should've deal with my mood better la. Usually it's quite easy for me to just ignore anything that can flame my anger. But seems like lately my patience become thinner and thinner.

Few days ago I talked with Brad and from there I think I already must admit that this term is not my best term. I must say that mostly my work sucks, but I know I deserve that. I think I didn't work hard enough. Because of this realization I promise myself that I'll do my best for web design and video, two last assignment this term. Wish me luck!

So, song of the day to lighten my mood:

PEACH - Otsuka Ai

LOL. OMG I can't believe that i choose this song.

Update: somehow I feel my mood become lighter after I rant here! =D

Get some weird dream last night, one of it involving one of my lecturer. No Hazmer, don't worry it's not you in that horrible dream hahaha. But even though the dream is quite weird and a bit scary, somehow I didn't feel scared at all. Like when in my dream somebody try to read me a Tarot card, it shows the Death card, but the fortune teller tell me actually it's not a sign of bad thing, more to something like rebirth, some old part of me will die but reborn into a new one. WOW. I got a tarot reading from my dream! LOL. But actually somehow before the fortune teller in my dream open the card I already know the card would be the death card.

About dreaming, I think I can half control my dream. Like one day I ever dream about a ghost that come out from a hole, somehow in my dream I can think that the ghost just go back inside the hole again, and it happens. In some dream where I've been asked to do something that supposedly to be a surprise, I manage to guess it before, and it happens exactly the same with what I guess. Afterall it's all only in our mind.

But not all dream I can control though, if I got a dream where something or somebody chase me, I'll really get panic and forget everything. In my mind there's just one word: RUN! Even though I don't even know what or who that chasing me. Until in one of my dream I get tired and surrender, just to find actually nobody is chasing me.

Okay, will talk about dreams again later, now I'll go watch movie with my classmates! =)
